Moldovan president has meeting with new Head of OSCE Mission in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today discussed with Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova Kelly Keiderling, who has recently started her mandate.

According to the presidential press service, the officials tackled the developments of the security environment in the eastern area, deeply hit by Russia’s war against Ukraine and the impact on Moldova, especially in the Transnistrian region.

The head of state expressed concern about the precarious situation in terms of human rights in the districts on the left bank of Dniester and stressed the need of a more active involvement of the OSCE Mission to this end.

Maia Sandu said that Moldova relied on OSCE’s support to identifying a peaceful and diplomatic solution due to help us have a functional state. She wished success to the diplomat in exercising her new office.
