Orheiul Vechi reserve to be rehabilitated within regional project

Chisinau, Oct. 22 /MOLDPRES/- A new joint venture contract, which provides for rehabilitation works of the Orheiul Vechi Cultural-Natural Reserve, was signed yesterday in Butuceni, by the Center Regional Development Agency (ADR), the reserve and the executing company.

The contract amounts to over 26.5 million lei (about 2.7 million euros), money that will be granted from the National Regional and Local Development Fund.

According to ADR Centru, the investment project is planned to be implemented in the next 14 months.

The achievement of the objectives proposed in the project will increase the sustainable valorization of the cultural heritage, the highlighting of the architectural heritage, as well as the modernization of the existing infrastructures. This will condition the considerable increase in the number of visitors to the area, a fact that will have a beneficial impact on the local community, will support economic agents in the region and respectively increase the contribution to the local and national budgets, according to ADR Centru.
