Several medical workers from Moldova awarded in Romania for professionalism

Chisinau, Nov. 5 /MOLDPRES/- Doctors, nurses and paramedics from the Republic of Moldova, who provided support in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic to their colleagues from Romania, were awarded for their professionalism in healthcare, during the 7th edition of the Medical Elite Gala, held in Iasi.
According to the Ministry of Health, in total, 42 doctors and nurses, as well as 17 paramedics from our country, were on a humanitarian mission last year, at the modular hospital in Letcani commune, Iași county.
"The first team, composed of 22 doctors and nurses, as well as ten paramedics, helped Romanian colleagues to treat patients infected with COVID-19, between October 18-31, 2021, and the second - 20 doctors and medical assistants, as well as seven paramedics, between November 1-14", the Ministry of Health said.
The Medical Elite Gala celebrates the elites of Romanian and international medicine for their professionalism and outstanding performances in the field.
