Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 8 November went to the settlements Satu Nou and Porumbrei, southern Cimislia district, in order to discuss with people, the presidential press service has reported.
Just as everywhere in Moldova, the local residents are concerned about the high prices, the danger of the war in Ukraine, the living conditions in settlements.
The head of state talked to local residents about the measures undertaken by the Moldovan authorities for backing the low-income households, programmes on support of the small- and medium-sized enterprises, financing of projects on development of communities.
„Also on 8 November, I participated in the opening of a new road segment, Porumbrei – Cimislia, a part of the road which connects the capital with Giurgiulesti. Through the new highway segment, drivers will avoid more settlements from the zone, travelling quicker and more safely. The quality roads reduce the costs of business, bring investments, improve the access of people from villages and cities to public services,’’ Maia Sandu stressed.
On the next period, the governance is set to finish more projects of road infrastructure, so that the Moldovan citizens enjoy a good quality of roads, just as it is in the European area.
