Chisinau, Nov. 10 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE) confirmed today the information disseminated by the Russian side on the expulsion of a Moldovan diplomat from our country's embassy in the Russian Federation.
The MAEIE said it took note of the decision of Moscow authorities in line with the provisions of the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations.
At the same time, the MAEIE recalls the context in which this decision was taken and "expresses its deep regret that the Russian side continues the war of aggression against Ukraine". "We reiterate that the Chisinau authorities' decision on the expulsion of the Russian diplomat, announced on 31 October was based on the fact that the missile attacks on Ukraine continue to increase security risks, and the citizens of our country are increasingly feeling the disastrous effects of the war, including the unfriendly actions in relation to our country, such as the violation of the national airspace, an absolutely unacceptable fact by our people", says the statement issued by the institution.
