Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/ - The participants in a today’s meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), which took place in Bender, held discussions focused on the subject of the posts of the Transnistrian power wielding structures, abusively set in the Security Zone, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
After the hearing of the report by the Joint Military Command on the situation in the Security Zone during 9-15 November 2022, Moldova’s delegation spoke out, just as it has done this in the last several months, for the unconditional withdrawal of the illegal posts and the armed staff.
Chisinau’s representatives describe the posts as a major obstacle to the free movement, as well as a real danger to citizens’ life and health.
At the same time, the unilateral setting of the aforementioned posts shows the defiance by Tiraspol of the ceasefire Agreement from 21 July 1992, as well as other acts signed within the peacekeeping mission at Dniester.
The atmosphere was tense at the meeting and Tiraspol’s delegation proved an inadequate behavior, when Moldova’s delegation was unveiling arguments on the issue tackled.
For this reason, the meeting was interrupted and is to be resumed in one week.
