Speaker meets Head of OSCE Mission to Moldova

Chisinau, Nov. 29 /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu had a meeting with Ambassador Kelly Keiderling, Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, who returned to the Republic of Moldova after a 14-year break, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

The speaker approached the latest events on the regional security affected by Russia's war against Ukraine and the impact on our country, in particular in the Transnistrian region. "Our main task is to preserve stability and peace. The current regional context requires the establishment of new platforms for dialogue on the Transnistrian issue", he said.

At the same time, the official expressed concern about the complicated situation of human rights in the districts to the left of the Dniester. He noted that Moldova respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of other countries and demands that our internationally recognized borders be respected.
