Agriculture minister asks Moldovan diplomats to back farmers, so that they can tap into new markets

Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) has hosted the fifth videoconference of the heads of Moldova’s diplomatic missions from abroad. Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Vladimir Bolea was the guest of the event.
Vladimir Bolea said that the agriculture was an important sector and the state was committed to back the latter’s development, including through the development of bilateral partnerships and aligning with the EU standards.
The official also asked for the support of the institutions of the diplomatic service, in order to support the Moldovan farmers, so that they are able to tap into new markets, in order to consolidate their competitiveness in the region. Bolea gave an example the recent joint efforts on the Egyptian and Indian markets for Moldovan fruits.
The country’s diplomats participated in a question-and-answer session and agreed on the development of quick mechanisms of communication between the competent institutions.
