Citizens to be notified of energy vulnerability category as of today

Chisinau, Nov. 30 /MOLDPRES/- Citizens who registered on the compensatii.gov.md platform are to be notified starting today about the category of energy vulnerability in which they were classified.

The head of the media relations service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Diana Blănaru, said that starting today citizens will receive the information by SMS or e-mail. "At the same time, people can access the personal cabinet, on compensatii.gov.md, where the energy vulnerability category assigned will be indicated", said Diana Blănaru.

So far, about 700 thousand requests have been placed in the Energy Vulnerability information system. Families that have not registered on the compensatii.gov.md platform will be placed in the medium vulnerability category in November. At the same time, in the period December 2022-March 2023, they will be classified in the category of low energy vulnerability.

According to the calculations, to pay the compensations during the cold period (November 2022 - December 2023) about 5 billion lei (about 250 million euros) will be needed, with 870 million lei being allocated from the state budget this year.
