Customs Service received donation of minibuses, technical equipment

Chisinau, Nov. 30 /MOLDPRES/- Today, the Customs Service received a donation consisting of two minibuses with equipment for scanning luggage, parcels and goods.
According to the institution, the donation comes from Germany and will help prevent and combat customs fraud. Vehicles and equipment will be used by canine inspectors and mobile team inspectors.
The deputy director of the Customs Service, Nicolae Vutcariov, thanked Germany for strengthening its efforts and functional capacities regarding securing the border and facilitating international trade.
German Ambassador to Chisinau Margret Uebber appreciated the activity of the customs authority regarding the actions taken to streamline the traffic of goods and people, as well as the simplified procedures for the import, export and transit of humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
Also, the Customs Service showed interest in developing the exchange of experience with the similar German institution in several fields, targeting the activity of operative services, mobile teams and canine centers, equipping them with transport units, special means, etc.
