Chisinau, Dec. 1 /MOLDPRES/- At today's plenary session, Speaker Igor Grosu congratulated the Romanian people and reiterated his gratitude for the support given to our country over the years.
"Today, December 1, Romania's National Day, we thank you for friendship and for all the good things we have done and will do together. The last two years, with crises upon crises, show us who is our true friend and who is not, and we say it every time, not in a whisper: "Thank you, Romania, for your selfless support, for schools and kindergartens, for donations, for gas, for electricity, especially in this complicated time. Because we can practically connect to Europe.” We will continue to work, together, so that the citizens on both banks of the Prut live in peace and well-being", said Igor Grosu.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, a group of pupils of Gheorghe Asachi high school came with a congratulatory message on Romania's National Day.
Also on this occasion, an exhibition of paintings by fine artist Eleonora Brigalda was inaugurated at the Parliament. The ten works chosen from the author's collection are executed in oil and mixed media.
The exhibition will be open until December 9.
