Moldovan citizens can register on platform www.compensatii.gov.md till March 2023

Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/ - Citizens can register on the platform www.compensatii.gov.md till March 2023, in order to establish the vulnerability categories and benefit from compensations in the energy invoices. Labour and Social Protection Minister Marcel Spatari today made statements to this effect at a news conference held jointly with the head of the parliamentary commission for social protection, health and family, Dan Perciun.   

According to the minister, about 700,000 applications have been placed in the Energy Vulnerability information system, which accounts for 58 of Moldova’s residents. ‘’All applications have been already processed. Thus, the quite high vulnerability degree was assigned to 79.8 per cent of the applications, 11.4 percent – high degree, 4.9 per cent – medium degree, 2.7 per cent – low degree and the non-vulnerable category were assigned to 1.1 per cent of the applications. After their establishment, 2,500 applications with various requests came to the support email. Following their consideration, certain adjustings might made, as because of their own errors, citizens received an unfavourable category,’’ Marcel Spatari said.     

For his part, the head of the parliamentary commission for social protection, health and family, Dan Perciun, stressed that, on the days to come, the citizens would receive a deciphering of the calculation on the basis of which the vulnerability degree was established. ‘’The consumption from the previous years was taken into account. Suspect cases were also identified during applications’ examination. Thus, following the comparing of the data announced with the consumption figures, automatic correctings will be carried out. Also, in the next years, additional filters and mechanisms of verification will be used, in order to establish whether the data declared coincide,’’ Dan Perciun said.  

The families who failed to register on the platform www.compensatii.gov.md will be set in the medium vulnerability category in November. At the same time, on the period December 2022-March 2023, these families will be set in the low energy vulnerability category.     

According to calculations, about 5 billion lei (about 250 million euros) will be needed for the payment of the compensations on the cold period (November 2022 – December 2023). As much as 870 million lei was allocated from the state budget this year.
