Moldovan parliament speaker meets acting president of Romanian Senate

Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had a meeting with acting President of the Romanian Senate Alina Gorghiu. Among the subjects tackled at the event, there were the energy crisis, the reforms’ agenda and Moldova’s European integration process, as well as the cooperation between Moldova and Romania, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Speaker Igor Grosu conveyed congratulations and gratitude to Romania for every support provided to Moldova during years.
„Just on last Thursday, on the National Day of Romania, an agreement between Romania and Moldova, which provides for the construction of an aqueduct of 54 km, was voted in two readings. It will supply with quality drinking water 15,500 residents from 13 settlements of the Nisporeni, Ungheni, Falesti and Glodeni districts. We have a lot of such nice projects, including in the culture sector. For instance, today, the exhibition ART Safari will be launched at the National Art Museum, where works signed by classics of the Romanian art will be displayed,’’ the parliament speaker said.
The officials also discussed Russia’s attacks against the critical infrastructure of Ukraine and their consequences, including on Moldova. ‘’We are grateful for the support provided by Romania to settle the consequences of the energy crisis, due to which each citizen of Moldova has electricity in homes,’’ Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said.
