Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ - The disconnection of household consumers from housing and communal services will be banned on the cold period of the year.
The draft was submitted as a legislative initiative by MPs Dan Perciun and Vladimir Odnostalco and is aimed at reducing the risk of vulnerable people’s disconnection from the housing and communal services.
The provisions of the legislative initiative are extended on the households, if the latter were assigned the high and quite high vulnerability category. Another condition is that the due debt is to be fulfilled partially, in quantum of 50 per cent of the sum owed for the current period of invoicing – in the case of the households with quite high vulnerability degree and 60 per cent – with high vulnerability degree.
At the same time, the cumulative sum of the debt accumulated on the cold period of the year must not exceed 5,000 lei for thermal energy and 1,500 lei for the electric energy.
