Chisinau, 9 Dec. /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu spoke about the security situation in the Black Sea region with Secretary General of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, Ambassador Lazar Comanescu, the MAEIE press service has reported.
The Moldovan official emphasized that the Republic of Moldova has undertaken all efforts to strengthen intergovernmental economic cooperation for the sustainable development of the extended Black Sea region, in accordance with the commitments stipulated in the BSEC Charter.
Although several actions were planned, especially on the economic and business dimension, unfortunately the war launched by Russia against Ukraine reduced efforts to deepen regional cooperation.
