Education decision-makers ban collection of informal payments in education institutions from Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau municipality’s education, youth and sport general department has urged pupils to congratulate their teachers symbolically and not collect money on the occasion of the winter holidays.

Thus, the claiming of sums of money for presents, Christmas tree, toys for Christmas tree, etc. are banned. At the same time, parents and teachers are to be informed that ‘’the taking or giving illegitimate reward or material benefit’’ is prohibited.

Also, the heads of the education institutions are to distribute to children from kindergartens the presents bought from the municipal budget and parents are urged that the personal surprises and presents for children should be offered outside the education institutions.

The decision on parents’ participation in matinees is to be taken by the headmasters of the preschool education institutions jointly with parents, after the analysis of the epidemiological situation in the institution. .
