Moldovan air operators to be able to carry passengers from United Arab Emirates to other states

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - Air operators from Moldova will be able to carry passengers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to third countries and vice versa, under a memorandum of understanding on the fifth freedom of air for passenger and cargo transport, signed in Abu Dhabi today.
The document was signed during an official visit to UAE by the state secretary in the transports sector of the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry (MIDR), Mircea Pascaluta, along with officials of the Civil Aviation Authority.
„The agreement sees that the air operators of UAE will be able to carry passengers from Moldova to other states and vice versa. Also, during meetings within the Civil Aviation Authority from the Emirates, the sides discussed the need to boost and consolidate the bilateral relations between the two institutions,’’ MIDR said.
The sides reiterated the importance of launching a project on technical assistance necessary for the implementation of high safety standards. At the same time, the sides highlighted the cooperation within the bilateral agreement on air transport, as well as the cooperation between authorities, in order to strengthen the measures of supervising the safety, exchange of information and experience, carrying out joint audits.
