Moldova receives consignment of equipment for providing emergency medical assistance on behalf of World Health Organization

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Health Ministry today received 250 sets of intra-osseous infusion and 30 first-aid kits. The overall value of the donation, provided by the World Health Organization, is of 300,000 euros.

According to the Health Ministry, most of the sets will be provided to the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Centre, while the others have already been distributed to hospitals from Moldova.

The first-aid kits contain equipment used for providing emergency medical assistance, especially to injured patients, who need stabilization and resuscitation and the intra-osseous infusion is used, most often, in case of major emergencies in adults and children – cardiac failure, circulatory collapse and injuries.
