Moldovan deputy PM has meeting with Ambassador of Germany

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian has had a meeting with Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Margret Uebber, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The discussion was focused on a wide spectrum of subjects dealing with the situation in the region, Moldova’s national security and the risks to it.

Deputy PM Oleg Serebrian referred also to the present state of the Transnistrian file, noting that the process of negotiations was stagnating, but not because of Chisinau, just as Tiraspol claims. In the context, Serebrian gave the example of the working group for human rights, the summoning of which has been demanded by Chisinau more times in the last months and was ignored by Tiraspol.

Oleg Serebrian reiterated that he did not see possibility of a meeting in the 5+2 format of negotiations as long as the Russian invasion continues in Ukraine.
