Another four projects under European Village Program completed

Chisinau, Dec. 20 /MOLDPRES/- Four other projects were completed under the European Village Program. The total value of the local development projects is around three million lei (150 thousand euros), money allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR) announced yesterday.

According to the institution, it is about Drepcăuți village, Briceni district, where 0.5 km of aqueduct networks, an artesian well and a water pumping station were built. Thus, 2188 inhabitants will have access to quality drinking water. The value of the project is about 630 thousand lei.

Also, the residents of Roșcani village, Anenii Noi district will have access to a quality water supply network. Over 3 km of aqueduct were built in the locality, and the pumping station and the water catchment station were also rehabilitated. At the same time, 11 valve chambers were installed. And about 400 households in the locality, five public institutions, as well as several economic agents, will enjoy improved water services. The cost of the project is about 1.5 million lei.

"We have better conditions in the Theoretical High School I. Vazov from Balabanu village, Taraclia district, where 71 pupils study and 34 teachers work. With the financial support worth about 525 thousand lei granted under the European Village Program, the roof of the building was renovated.

In Burlacu settlement, Cahul district, about 2,000 citizens will have access to a renovated public library and a gym equipped with fitness equipment and accessories. Also, 16 LED public lighting fixtures were installed. The value of the project is about 506 thousand lei", indicates MIDR.

The European Village is a national program for local development, which this year has a budget of 470 million lei.
