Moldovan president meets members of French business community

Chisinau, 21 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with representatives of the France-Moldova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on a fact-collecting visit to Chisinau. The discussion was focused on the speeding up of the switch to the green energy in Moldova and possibility to attract French companies in these processes, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state said that, despite the present instability in the region, Moldova was resolute to modernize its energy sector and to enhance the share of the green energy in it. Therefore, we are interested both in investments in the renewable energy and in the expertise of the countries which a big experience in the field, France being one of them.

The president stressed that Moldova was set to be more open for the business people and the actions of the government and of the parliamentary majority were aimed at backing and developing the business.
