Moldovan president discusses with ambassadors accredited in Moldova at end of year

Chisinau, 21 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had an online discussion with the heads of the diplomatic missions accredited in Moldova. The head of state informed the ambassadors about the challenges faced by Moldova in 2022; the results achieved and pointed out the principal priorities in the next year.
According to the presidential press service, the head of state thanked the partner countries for the solidarity and cooperation we had had in this difficult year. President Maia Sandu thanked the states who had come up with a quick response to the major energy crisis Moldova was going through, by facilitating the access to the energy resources or providing financial support for the citizens’ compensations. Also, the head of state appreciated the contribution of the partner countries to the Moldova Support Platform.
The Moldovan president stressed that we must further be united, help Ukraine and speak out for the reestablishment of the international order. As for the 2023 year, Maia Sandu said that the key priorities remained, for Moldova, the European integration, energy security and the justice reform, as well as the economic development and investments’ attraction.
The online discussions with the ambassadors accredited in Moldova, including those with residence in other capitals, represent a practice launched President Maia Sandu one year ago. They allow informing from the first source about the current situation in Moldova, as well as directly tackling the subjects of bilateral cooperation.
