More carol singers, waits visit Moldova's Presidency

Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - More groups of carols singers and waits have come to the Presidency in the week before Christmas. Children and adults wearing traditional costumes came to announce about the Birth of God and wish a rich New Year, the presidential press service has reported.
President Maia Sandu and the institution’s employees admired pupils from the lyceums, Lucian Blaga, Mircea Eliade and Columna from the Moldovan capital, as well as folk banks from the Spiru Haret, Gheorghe Asachi and Nicolae Sulac lyceums.
The Moldovan head of state also welcomed the members of the Mocanasii vocal ensemble, included in UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage of humanity and who came to offer congratulations as far as from the Slobozia Mare settlement, Cahul district.
„I appreciated also the performance of a group of children, representatives of ethnic communities, who brought us Christmas traditions of the ethnic minorities which live in Moldova. I thank everybody who made us happy with their talent, I convey our gratitude to the teachers who take care to preserve and cultivate the traditions and I wish everybody good health, peace and prosperity,’’ the head of state said.
The Christmas Tree remains open to visitors. Come along with the dear people to make a picture at the presidential tree till 15 January, during 17:00-19:00 on the working days and during 12:00-15:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
