Two years since being sworn into office of Moldovan president

Chisinau, Dec. 24 /MOLDPRES/- Two years since President Maia Sandu was sworn in office.
On this occasion, in a video address, the official thanked all the citizens who, in these two years, put their shoulder to make the Republic of Moldova a better country.
"A country can be raised and built from the ground up only when its people believe in it. We will continue to work to have a free and prosperous country. We will achieve this together, united and in solidarity", said the head of state.
At the same time, the president spoke about the COVID-19 pandemic, the energy crisis, the wave of refugees and the impact of the war in Ukraine. The official presented the projects for the modernization of villages and cities, national roads, medical institutions, schools, social assistance offered to families.
The President emphasized that a priority remains the well-being of citizens, the fight against corruption and the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European Union. "I am convinced that we will succeed in making a European country prosperous at home, in a free world where there is peace," the official noted.
Maia Sandu took the oath of office on December 24, 2020, becoming the sixth President of the Republic of Moldova.
