Customs Service collected over 1,155 million lei last week

Chisinau, Dec. 26 /MOLDPRES/- On 19-25 December, the Customs Service collected over 1,155 million lei (about 57.7 million euros) to the state budget.

According to the institution, during the period, private people introduced goods whose value in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, and payments of over 28.6 million lei were collected, which represents 2.5% of the total amount.

Also, the last week, 10,388 customs declarations were completed, and the flow of means of transport was 93,854 crossings. The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.

Since the beginning of the year, the Customs Service has collected about 33.2 billion lei to the state budget, up by 18.3% compared to the same period last year.
