Moldova's resilience to emergency situations to be enhanced

Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s resilience to emergency situations will be enhanced and the time of response to the emergency calls will be shortened. These measures are included in the programme on the prevention and management of emergency situations for 2022-2025, published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) today.
The document’s goal is to strengthen the capacities of coordination, informing and innovating technological transfer, in order to provide the citizens with quality services. Its implementation will contribute to diminishing the impact of the effects triggered by the emergency situations, as well as to developing the national system of residents’ early warning.
At the same time, the programme will ensure the improvement of the preparation for preventing the emergency situations, efficient response, recovery, rehabilitation and subsequent reconstruction. Also, decision-makers are to strengthen the capacities of the target group (population, public administration authorities, private, associative and volunteering sectors) in the management of emergency situations, as well as the consolidation of the capacities of the state and mobilization reserves.
This is the third programme out of those six ones, which is to be approved by the government, in order to implement the strategy of development in the interior affairs sector for 2022-2030.
The document enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal.
