Chisinau, 12 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- The State Road Administration (ASD) will collaborate with representative of Waze in Moldova to optimize interventions on the roads, streamline road transport and increase road safety.
Thus, the mobile teams deployed in the territory will be able to intervene more promptly in case of notifications regarding the condition of the roads, traffic in specific climatic conditions, possible road safety risks, obstacles, traffic jams, road accidents, as well as sections of the road with a high risk of accidents.
The partnership offers the possibility of two-way exchange of information between ASD and Waze, which allows real-time access to reports and statistical data, noticed by drivers in the application. At the same time, this will allow the centralized storage of data from the Waze application within the ASD, which will make it possible, for example, to analyze dangerous road sectors in order to monitor accidents.
ASD will contribute to improving the quality of the map and Waze services in Moldova, by sharing information about sections of roads (as the case may be bridges) subject to repairs with possible detours, closed roads, with a high risk of accidents.
Waze is a mobile navigation application owned by Google with over 140 million users worldwide. In the Republic of Moldova, Waze has been present for over 10 years, presenting, in particular, optimal routes for avoiding traffic jams or warning about possible dangers on the road.
