EU to support efforts in protection of stray animals in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- European Union delegation to Moldova announced yesterday that it will continue to support efforts in protecting stray animals in the country.

"The EU project Help to our little friends aims to provide solutions such as: a centralized monitoring mechanism for stray animals; specialized problem management services in the field; penalties for violence against animals; facilities for responsible owners", the diplomatic representation said.

Also, the Adopt a friend campaign from the same project promotes the options to responsibly adopt or care for a homeless quadruped, according to the quoted source.

The project is financed by the European Union and implemented by the National Environment Center.
