Group of Polish MPs to visit Moldova

Chisinau, 16 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- A group of Polish deputies will visit Chisinau on 16-18 January. The delegation is made up of members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee for European Union Affairs within the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the Polish deputies will have a meeting with Speaker Igor Grosu. The visit's agenda also includes meetings with the members of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Commission, of the National Security, Defense and Public Order Commission and with the president of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with the Republic of Poland, Larisa Voloh. Polish MPs will also meet with Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu.
The participants in the meetings will approach topical issues, including the security situation in the region, the energy crisis and the country's European integration, in the context of getting the status of a candidate country for EU accession.
