Over 700 young men called up for seasonal military service in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - Over 700 young men have been called up for the seasoned military service. The process of conscription took place in the National Army during 23-24 January.

According to the Centre of Management of Resources and Mobilization of the National Army’s Strength, Octavian Druta, over 700 young people were conscripted during those two days. The recruits underwent a preliminary medical examination, carried out by specialty commissions under the territorial administrative and military bodies.

Also, following the distribution in military units, the young men will attend a training course of four weeks, after which they will be sworn to their colours.

The process of conscription to the seasoned military service in Moldova is held four times per year. The seasoned military service lasts 12 months in Moldova and the short term one – three months.
