State Chancellery Management, project managers discussed program of new EU High-Level Advisers Mission

Chisinau, 24 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- The key aspects and areas of intervention of the new EU High-Level Advisers Mission were discussed at today's meeting of presentation of the new Project on EU High-Level Advisers Mission, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Attending the event were Government's Secretary General Igor Talmazan, State Secretary of the State Chancellery Andrian Bălutel, Program manager of the EU Delegation to Moldova Irina Cruceru, team leader of the Mission Pavlos Kollias and communication expert Iana Găină.
The sides said that the EU High-Level Advisers will provide expertise to the central public authorities of the Republic of Moldova and subordinate institutions in areas such as the security of internal affairs, coordination of reforms, customs and fiscal policy, education and research, energy, anti-corruption etc. Other priority areas will be identified in accordance with the EU-Moldova Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement.
The head of the State Chancellery thanked the project team for the assistance within the Program carried out in 2019-2022 and appreciated the launch of a new Mission in the country.
The project aims to strengthen sector-level policy-making, strategic planning and policy management capacities, improve stakeholders' knowledge and awareness of EU policies, legislation and regulations, strengthen capacities in public central level institutions in the Republic of Moldova.
Other components of the Project include the short-term deployment of experts to carry out specific sets of tasks related to the implementation of the Association Agreement, and the implementation of internship programs for local students and young graduates in public institutions in the Republic of Moldova.
