Exhibition by Moldovan fine artist inaugurated at Chisinau-based museum

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - A personal sculpture and painting exhibition by fine artist Ion Zderciuc was inaugurated at the National Art Museum of Moldova today.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the museum’s director, Tudor Zbarnea, said the exhibition comprised 42 sculpture and 10 painting works.
Ion Zderciuc was born in the Beresti village, western Ungheni district, on 24 April 1957. He graduated from the Alexandru Plamadeala republican College and Fine Arts from Chisinau and the Academy of Fine Arts from St. Petersburg, Russia.
Ion Zderciuc was awarded the Prize of the Moldovan Fine Artists’ Union for Sculpture and the Grand Prize Eminescu in Art, Moldova, 2000; Knight of the Star of Romania Order in rank of Commander, 2001; Prize of Excellence of Moldova’s Culture Ministry, 2010.
The exhibition will be opened till 26 February.
