Calls for 112 service as to medical emergencies concerning children double in Moldova in 2022

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/ - The serious situations as to the condition of health of the children who needed emergency treatment, received at the 112 emergency number, stood at 113,445 calls, twice as much against the years before.
According to the Single National Service for Emergency Calls 112, an average number of 310 people daily asked for help for children. The most frequent reasons as for the medical emergency in children were the high fever, difficulties of breathing and swallowing, convulsions and injuries.
Other cases of frequent medical emergency received at the 112 single emergency number in 2022 were: high blood pressure – 105,064 cases; diseases of the upper respiratory tract, suspicion of COVID-19 – 57,611 cases; stomachache or backbone ache – 51,702 cases; non-diagnosed disease – 47,835 cases’ thoracic pains – 50,532 cases.
According to the quoted source, 794,286 calls on medical emergencies were registered at the single emergency number in 2022.
