More than 223,000 patients benefit from compensated medicines in Moldova in last December

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ - More than 223,000 people in last December benefited from compensated medicines and medical devices worth about 77 million lei (3.7 million euros).
According to the National Health Insurances Company (CNAM), the money was transferred to the account of the contracting drug stores this week.
Most money (about 38.80 million lei) in the structure of expenses for compensated medicines in last December was earmarked for preparations meant for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. They are followed by oral anti-diabetic and injectable medicines (about 14 million lei) and compensated preparations in day hospital for children (over 6.7 million lei).
CNAM transferred about two million lei for the compensated medical devices. About 6,800 people benefited from tests for establishing the level of sugar in blood, almost 4,600 people – from lancets, over 60 patients – from bags for collecting intestinal and urinary stoma.
The recipe for compensated medicines and medical devices is valid in all drug stores contracted by CNAM from all over Moldova.
