Roadmen unblocked snowy routes in center, south of Moldova

Chisinau, Jan 30. /MOLDPRES/- Roadmen intervened last night to unblock the snowy roads in the center and south of the country, regions under the yellow code warning of complicated weather conditions in recent days.

Thus, 34 road workers and 76 special vehicles were involved in the snow removal and anti-skid operations. In total, more than 450 tons of anti-slip material and 32 tons of technical salt were spread.

The State Road Administration (ASD) assured that there are currently no sectors closed to traffic, and the accessibility of the road infrastructure is ensured in winter conditions on all roads.

ASD warns drivers to comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation regarding equipping vehicles with appropriate tires and adapting the speed regime to winter traffic conditions. In case of difficulties, traffic participants can request the intervention of road users at the following numbers: 22-55-30; 74-89-61; 060 477 117.

Meteorologists forecast low temperatures and light snow for the next few days.
