About 2 thousand tons of anti-skid material spread on Moldovan roads

Chisinau, 31 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- About 2 thousand tons of anti-skid material were spread last night on the country's roads to combat slippery and snowy conditions.

215 workers with 149 special vehicles were involved in the works throughout the country. Besides the anti-slip material, over 100 tons of technical salt were also spread on the routes.

Currently, road infrastructure accessibility is ensured in winter conditions on the entire national road network.

The State Road Administration (ASD) warns drivers to comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation on equipping vehicles with appropriate tires and adapting the speed regime to winter traffic conditions. In case of difficulties, traffic participants can request the intervention of road users at the following numbers: 22-55-30; 74-89-61; 060 477 117.

Meteorologists have forecast light snow across the country and low temperatures for today. Conditions for the formation of ice on the roads will continue.
