Petrol, diesel to be cheaper in next few days

Chisinau, February 10 /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) announced for February 11-13 the maximum retail prices of the main standard petroleum products at the level of: 24.95 lei/liter - for COR 95 petrol (-0.09 lei) ; 22.83 lei/liter - for standard diesel (- 0.28 lei).

Recently, the ANRE when setting the maximum retail prices of the main standard oil products, records a constant decrease in these values.

"If two weeks ago, the maximum price for standard diesel was set at the level of 25.23 lei/liter, then as of February 10, it reaches the level of 22.83 lei/liter, down by 2.4 lei /liter or about 10%. In the case of the price of COR 95 petrol, the decreases were more moderate. However, it reached below 25 lei/liter, in the same period being recorded a decrease of 0.73 lei/liter or about 3%", indicates ANRE.

The decrease in fuel sales prices by ANRE is largely due to the decrease in Platts quotations, an indicator that is at the basis of the current method of determining the price level, given that the Republic of Moldova imports 100% of petroleum products.
