Chisinau, February 10 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița announced her resignation. The announcement was made today during a press briefing.
Națalia Gavrilița thanked the team for the work done in this mandate. "I have recently returned from a business trip to Brussels. Despite multiple crises, we have made significant progress. The Republic of Moldova has many friends in Brussels and we are welcomed with open arms in the EU. If the Government had the same support in Moldova, we would have had more success. After a year and a half at the head of the Executive, the time has come to announce my resignation. I thank the team I worked with, a team of constructive and forward-looking people," the official said.
The official noted that Moldova is entering a new phase of development. "Currently, the country's priority is security, cyber and energy. During my work, I was fully involved and I leave with a sense of duty fulfilled and a peaceful heart. Obtaining the status of a candidate country for EU integration is one of the most important achievements. People deserve decent jobs, developed infrastructure and security in the future. I want to remain united and in solidarity in a country to be proud of, a European country with a strong economy, where the rights and freedoms of every citizen are respected", said Gavrilița.
The government led by Natalia Gavrilița was inaugurated in August 2021. During this period, government reshuffles were carried out at the ministries of Environment, Economy, Agriculture and Food Industry and that of Labor and Social Protection.
