Moldovan rescuers continue to intervene in liquidation of consequences of earthquakes in Turkey

Chisinau, February 15 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan rescuers continue today to intervene in the liquidation of the consequences of the earthquakes in Turkey. Yesterday, the rescuers pulled out the bodies of two people from under the rubble.
According to IGSU, the rescuers intervened yesterday in Antakya, where they carried out evaluation work on the blocks and houses in the area affected by the earthquakes.
Thus, following checks with the help of the technical equipment provided, as well as the canine service, the Moldovan rescuers located the bodies of two people stuck under the rubble. Later, after several hours of work, the rescue team of our country managed to extract the bodies from under the ruins.
At the same time, throughout yesterday, the Moldovan rescuers together with the volunteers identified another intervention sector, where they evaluated and examined the basement of an apartment block.
The Moldovan rescue team has been working for six days in one of the most earthquake-affected areas in Hatay province, Turkey.
According to the latest count, 35,418 people died in Turkey following the February 6 earthquakes.
