Moldovan, Slovakian presidents speak by phone

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has had a phone conversation with President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová, in the context of the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries, the presidential press service reported.

The officials referred to the boosting of the bilateral cooperation, especially on the economic and commercial dimensions, as well as the latest security developments in the region.

The Moldovan head of state thanked the Slovakian president for the continuous support to strengthen the democracy and modernize Moldova through the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation Slovak-Aid.

At the same time President Maia Sandu expressed appreciation for Bratislava’s backing for Moldova’s European integration.
