Călăraşi enterprise sets modernization plans with help of state subsidies

Chisinau, February 20 /MOLDPRES/- The milk processing enterprise in Călărași has implemented several technological processes to modernize the factory. In 2017-2021, the enterprise benefited from state support of about five million lei (250 thousand euros), for the development of the infrastructure.

The financial support will be provided following the application submitted to the Agency for Investments and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) for the subsidy request.

The enterprise from Călăraşi was founded in 1999. According to the management of the factory, milk is currently collected from all regions of the country, both from professional livestock farms and from households.

The factory processes around 50 tons daily, but its potential would be over 100 tons. The biggest problem facing the company is the lack of staff. Currently, the unit has 120 employees, who work in shifts, but the needs are greater.

According to AIPA, during 2022, more than 90 agricultural producers from the Călăraşi district have submitted requests for aid from the state, mainly through the post-investment subsidy mechanism. They obtained about 36 million lei from the state budget. Most farmers have made investments in agricultural machinery and equipment. At the same time, during the past year, only ten farmers requested financial support for the maintenance of animals in livestock holdings.
