Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - Unemployed people will be able to attend professional training courses based on vouchers, following a decision approved by the cabinet today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The new procedure simplifies the process of carrying out the professional training courses for jobless people and sees that people independently choose the education institution where they will attend these courses. The National Employment Agency (ANOFM) provides one nominal voucher for the courses’ payment.
To this end, an online platform, Voucher for professional training, will be developed, which will represent an additional module to the platform www.angajat.md, managed by ANOFM. Through this platform, the providers of professional training services will be registered, professional training vouchers will be issued, in electronic format and the voucher’s acceptance by providers will be confirmed.
The vouchers will be able to be used during seven days after they are provided by ANOFM and meanwhile, the beneficiaries choose the education institution where they will register for courses from the list published on the platform, Voucher for professional training. After the expiration of those seven days, the vouchers could no longer be used and the unemployed person will be able to repeatedly receive a voucher as late as in 12 months.
Unemployed people can benefit from a single professional training course in a time interval of 24 months in a row and during the courses, attenders receive a monthly scholarship worth 35 per cent of the average monthly salary on the economy for the previous year.
In 2022, 1,062 jobless people, of whom 744 women, finished qualification, re-qualification, improvement and specialization courses, provided by the National Employment Agency.
„Through this project, we are set to achieve more goals, among which the simplification of the process of holding professional training courses, enhancement of their quality, giving unemployed people right to choose the education institution and the digitalization of the process of organizing jobless people’s professional training,’’ Labour and Social Protection Minister Alexei Buzu said.
