Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - The liberalization of the trade, opening of new sales markets for Moldovan products, as well as the implementation of the European agenda have been some of the subjects discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean at a meeting with a delegation of European lawmakers of the Committee on Budget Control (CONT) and Committee on International Trade (INTA), the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
PM Recean highlighted the priorities of the team he led, noting that increased attention was paid to the implementation of the European agenda and fulfillment of the European Commission’s recommendations: ‘’Moldova stays firmly engaged on the way or reforms. We make efforts to approximate the legislation to the EU acquis, to inform the citizens about the benefits of the accession to EU and switch, as quickly as possible, to the next stage, the one of starting the negotiations on accession.’’
Also, the official said that ‘’we have three basic pillars on which we focus: security – as we are exposed to numerous hybrid challenges; justice reform, we want an honest judicial system; economic development – we must enhance the productivity in agriculture, liberalize the sales market and attract foreign investors,’’ PM Dorin Recean noted.
The European MPs congratulated the prime minister on his swearing in office and expressed appreciation for the Moldovan people for the receptiveness and solidarity proved for the refugees from Ukraine. The MEPs reiterated that they would continue providing every support and assistance needed to the Moldovan authorities, so that they manage to cope with the challenges, transparentize the justice system and deepen the economic and security relations with the EU member states.
