14 cultural centers renovated or modernized through European Village Program

Chisinau, 23 Feb. /MOLDPRES/- A number of 14 culture houses were renovated or modernized through the European Village Program. The investment is almost 14 million lei (700 thousand euros), money allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.

Following the implementation of the projects, more than 30 thousand citizens will benefit from better conditions in carrying out cultural and artistic activities. Thus, the children from the Cubolta village brass band, Sangerei district, received new musical instruments. At the same time, the artistic studio was renovated and equipped in the locality.

In Cucoara village, Cahul district, the village Museum was renovated and equipped, which includes part of the building of the House of Culture and represents the visiting card of the commune. Within the project, 30 sets of traditional costumes, a set of furniture and other technical means were purchased, for which over one million lei was spent.

The most recently completed similar project included the modernization of three cultural and social institutions in the village of Puțintei, Orhei district. The project exceeded the amount of one million lei.

The European Village program includes 496 local development projects.
