Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean today had a meeting with President of Romania’s Chamber of Deputies Marcel Ciolacu, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The officials discussed projects meant for Moldova. The sides stressed the need of joint involvement in overcoming the challenges triggered in the regional context, so that the two states’ citizens feel the effects of the crises as little as possible.
The officials exchanged opinions on the risks faced by Moldova and the Moldovan government’s efforts to maintain peace and stability in the country. ‘’We are grateful for the support provided to Moldova in all sectors, especially for the fact that you firmly back our desideratum to be anchored in the European area,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.
For his part, President of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies Marcel Ciolacu reiterated that Romania would stay a firm supporter of the reforms necessary for the process of Moldova’s accession to the European family. ‘’We will find, in continuation, ways of backing you, including based on our experience. There is no other way of development for Moldova but the integration into the European Union and we are open to help you in this process,’’ the Romanian official said.
