Environment ministry announced new rules for hunting

Chisinau, March 2. /MOLDPRES/- Environment Ministry announced new rules for the 2022-2023 hunting season, approved in late February.
According to the institution, the distances for hunting in the fields were changed at the 27 February meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations. According to the decision of the CSE, the hunting period continues for the species of hunting interest, within the limits of the harvest quota of the 2022-2023 hunting season.
"It is forbidden to shoot and find a weapon at a distance of less than 5 km from the border with Ukraine, at a distance of less than 300 m from the outskirts of other localities and at a distance of less than 1 km from military units, centers of the National Army and Chisinau International Airport, Mărculești International Airport, Balti International Airport and Cahul International Airport. The hunting of foxes and jackals is accepted at a distance of 1 km, and their harvesting quota is unlimited, between 1 June 2022 -31 March 2023," the cited source indicates.
Environment ministry and Moldsilva Agency, in collaboration with hunters' associations and local authorities will inform citizens about the new changes. At the same time, the police recommend that hunters strictly follow the rules of behavior and security, carrying and using weapons while hunting.
