Moldovan MPs appoint new member of Central Electoral Commission

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - Tatiana Barburos today was appointed member of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC). Fifty five lawmakers voted for her candidacy.
Tatiana Barburos took the oath today as well.
According to her CV, starting from 2010 so far, Tatiana Barburos has worked at the State Chancellery in diverse positions: jurist and chief specialist in the State Chancellery’s Chisinau territorial office, deputy head of the legal department, chief consultant of the legal expertise department, governmental acts department and public administration department.
Under the legislation, the Central Electoral Commission has nine members – eight ones appointed by the parliament and one – by the Moldovan president. The CEC members are irremovable and cannot be members of parties and other social and political organizations.
