Water-purifying station from south Moldova city to be reconstructed

Chisinau, 3 March /MOLDPRES/ - The residual water-purifying station from the southern Cahul city will be reconstructed and the works will start in next mid-April, according to the Cahul city hall.
The station is placed on the area of the Crihana Veche village, managed by the municipality’s administration and is in an advanced degree of wear.
„To protect waters as natural factor of the environment, the reconstruction of the residual water-purifying station is absolutely needed, in order to keep a clean and sound environment. Also, the structure works to diminish the quantity of pollutants from the residual waters,’’ the South Regional Development Agency said.
The reconstruction of the Cahul water-purifying station envisages the building of new installations on the area of the present station.
The Water and Sewerage Supply Project in the Cahul district is financed by the European Union and the government of Germany through the German Development Bank KfW.
