Moldovan parliament's secretariat cuts staff by 15 per cent in 2022

Chisinau, 6 March /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament’s secretariat changed its organizational structure in 2022. Thus, the secretariat’s staff was decreased by 63 units, which is 15.1 per cent of all employees.   

According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, last year, the public leadership positions in the structural subdivisions of the parliament’s secretariat were reduced by 16 staff units.   

According to the summing-up report for 2022, the parliament’s secretariat fulfilled 84 per cent of the tasks planned; 9 per cent are under implementation and 7 per cent are non-fulfilled. Also, the parliament recorded a considerable 60-per cent diminution of the consumption of paper in the field of parliamentary documentation, due to the switch to the exclusively electronic format of issuance of documents related to the parliamentary work. At the same time, the energy efficiency measures enforced brought savings worth about 4.2 million lei (about 209,000 euros) to the parliament’s budget.
