International Literature and Translation Festival from Iasi comes to Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 9 March /MOLDPRES/ - The International Literature and Translation Festival from Iasi (FILIT) will come to Chisinau. Discussions on the matter were held in Iasi between the acting director Mihai Eminescu Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) in Chisinau, Narcis Afrasinei, and FILIT director, manager of the Iasi National Museum of Romanian Literature (MNLR) Lucian Teodorovici.
According to ICR, in the near future, decision-makers will establish the concrete form of the 2023 FILIT edition in Chisinau.
The International Literature and Translation Festival from Iasi is a project which brings together hundreds of professionals in the culture sector in Romania: writers, translators, editors, festival organizers, literary critics, booksellers, book distributors, managers and journalists. Thus, during five days, dozens of events take place within FILIT, held in Iasi, in a wide range of manifestations: literary meetings with stars of the world literary stage; white nights of poetry and music; professional workshops and roundtables, concerts, readings and events. The FILIT workshops for translators represent one of the Iasi MNLR initiatives and of FILIT, which support the contemporary creation and the international promotion, contributing to the development of a comprehensive system of literary residencies in the Eastern Europe.
